White Sox shut out Angels for road victory

The Chicago White Sox triumphed over the Los Angeles Angels last night with a final score of 8-0. The White Sox‘s 3-game series against the Angels began in Los Angeles on Monday and will run until Wednesday night.

Gordon Beckham started the team off with a two-run homer at the top of the second inning. At the top of the seventh with the score 4-0, Alexei Ramirez scored a solo homer that was soon followed by a beautiful three-run shot by Carlos Quentin, bringing the score to 8-0.

The White Sox are scheduled to play the Angels tonight at 10:05 ET. Chicago currently has a 14-22 record and are 9-11 on the road.

The Chicago White Sox pulled off a close victory today defeating the Cleveland Indians with the score of 4 to 3. The Indians held the lead 3-2 until Carlos Quentin hit a 2-run Home Run to lift the White Sox to 4-3.

Garcia gets the victory, his 5th of the year, giving the Chicago White Sox a 23-30 record. Bobby Jenks came into the game in the 9th inning and closed it out for the Sox with two Ks, his 8th save for the season.
