White Sox shut out Angels for road victory
May 12, 2011The Chicago White Sox triumphed over the Los Angeles Angels last night with a final score of 8-0. The White Sox‘s 3-game series against the Angels began in Los Angeles on Monday and will run until Wednesday night.
Gordon Beckham started the team off with a two-run homer at the top of the second inning. At the top of the seventh with the score 4-0, Alexei Ramirez scored a solo homer that was soon followed by a beautiful three-run shot by Carlos Quentin, bringing the score to 8-0.
The White Sox are scheduled to play the Angels tonight at 10:05 ET. Chicago currently has a 14-22 record and are 9-11 on the road.
